Purpose: Join Michael Hager as he discusses an important new article by Terri Fox and Adam Thompson that describes the important and central roles that social workers play in achieving our Getting to Zero goals for HIV. Social workers act as hubs for patient communication, referral and interaction linking together various care team members spread across disciplines. This function is critical for patients who are experiencing a range of psychosocial, physical, and structural challenges and barriers to accessing care and achieving optimal outcomes.
