Overview: This webinar will explore trauma and its effects on the MSM of Color community. What can the HIV provider community do to increase patient confidence and enhance self-care? What types of changes can be made to care environments to ensure that people are comfortable and feel safe? What expectations does the MSM of Color community have in terms of medical encounters – what is discussed? Whom do they see?

Learning Objectives: Describe the connection between trauma, HIV and health care access. List three suggestions that people with HIV can make to their healthcare providers to increase confidence and ability to do self care. Explain what general expectations members of the MSM of Color community have of their encounters with HIV programs.
